Deeper Than The Surface

“O the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” Romans 11:33

Can you smell the campfire yet? We are anticipating a camp season blessed greatly by God and we thank Him for allowing us to be a part of His work! The “fun” aspects of camp will be wrapped with personal God-and-I times in the morning, morning and evening Chapels, as well as evening devotions as a cabin crew. God has great things in store for each of us!

Our theme for 2025 is “Deeper than the Surface.” Even though we will never fully comprehend God, He wants us to know Him. Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, God calls us to draw closer to Him by seeking out a deeper understanding and knowledge of who He is. God does not desire that we stay on the surface spiritually. Spiritual depth will come when we seek the Lord with all our heart and soul:

“But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul,” Deuteronomy 4:29

We cannot get all we need for living out our Christian life from the shoreline or living in the Shallow waters. Jesus instructs us “to launch out into the deep” (Luke 5:4). If we are willing to let down our nets deep into the waters, there will be a great spiritual harvest awaiting us. Not only will our relationship with our Savior grow, but as we live our life as an example that will bring others to Christ.

After all, God’s love is so deep – He died for us…so let’s go Deeper than the Surface in our relationship and live for Him!
